What happened to Rhiannon? She was once worshipped as a passionate horse Goddess with magical powers. Then she got snared in Medieval story, accused of terrible deeds, tamed and diminished.
Oxford based storyteller Jackie Singer tells Rhiannon’s story and sets out to liberate her, calling her up as a vital force that’s needed in the world now. But you don’t invoke a Goddess as a literary exercise. This is personal. In order to bring her into life, we too are called to rise. Through myth, memoire, song and imagination, this one-woman show enacts the journey from compliant silence to an embodied and awakened female power.
“As Jackie freed herself, unleashed and unbridled, I felt as elated as the rest of the audience. I urge you to experience this bold, brave and original work for yourself.” Marion McCartney, Author & Activist
“Masterful telling – a journey ripe, raw and poignantly crafted for these times.” Tracy Chipman, Storyteller
