Experience the ancient art of foraging, and how it can bring our senses alive, and support us through the Spring months.
Part of the Woods for Wellness programme of covid-response wellbeing activities and in partnership with Myrtle Cooper from Wild and Curious Foraging.
This walk will focus particularly on the role of wild plants to support wellness, through the practice of foraging, and the nutritional and medicinal properties of plants. You will learn how to forage safely and appropriately, how to identify seasonal plants, alongside hearing about history and folklore, preparation and preservation techniques.
The walk will be up to 1.5 miles long, cover some slightly uneven ground. Please get in touch to discuss how we can support any mobility needs.
This is a subsidised community event supported by the Woods for Wellness project.
Donations: Please consider making a donation to help support the Woods for Wellness project so we can continue offering wellness activities to the community. DONATE HERE and pass on some wellness to others (any amount welcome).
