Shinrin Yoku 2 day Practitioner Training Course

Who is this for?
Individuals and organisations with an interest in exploring the magic of the Forest, and the exciting new science of Shinrin Yoku. This course is for those who wish to enhance their own understanding and relationship with Nature, and the incredible healing benefits of the natural environment. It is also for those who wish to guide others in the woods, and help people to discover their own connection, and meaning in Nature.

What will you learn?
This 2 day course will teach you the basic principles and practice of Shinrin Yoku to enable you to confidently deliver this process to small groups in different locations.

The 2 day training covers:
• History and development of Shinrin Yoku in Japan – Shinto and Taoist influences.
• Science – Evidence based Research. Health and medical discoveries.
• Ecological awareness – Nature matrix
• Mindfulness exercises
• Embodied presence
• Sensory attunement
• Discovery of ways of communication with the other than human world
• Therapeutic containment, safety, risk assessment, site selection, attunement. Aromatherapy,
Spa treatments and developments

We are now also offering a 1-year Deep into Nature training, an immersive and intimate journey to the heart of Self and Nature. Please contact Stefan for further details.

Putting Nature first.

We include the mental, emotional and spiritual needs and benefits of connecting to Nature at a deeper level, the experience of ‘awe’ that leads to an appreciation of the natural world (and our place within it), and therefore a desire to protect and nurture it, to give something back. This is reciprocity and is part of our ecological ‘belonging’. Eco – therapy is from the Greek oikos = home + therapeia to heal or take care of.
