Beyond Separation: Sing with the Trees
Date & Time
Sun 9th Sep 2018
1:30 pm - 6:30 pm
An exploration of ‘spiritual ecology’ through singing with nature.
“How, in our modern world, can we find our way to understand the earth as a gift again?” Robin Wall Kimmerer
“Music is a healing force – all living spirits sing.” Joanna Shenandoah, Oneida Nation
Together at this beautiful woodland site we will create a supportive space in which to learn a simple song, and offer our songs to the trees. The afternoon will include nature connection exercises, singing, discussion and meditation.
This workshop is for anyone who is curious about living in conversation with nature, or exploring creative ways of connecting with the outdoors.
Spiritual ecology brings together ecology and environmentalism with an awareness of the sacred. The word ‘ecology’ is derived from the Greek oikos, the word for home.
Tickets are donation based – suggested donation £15 / £7 low waged.
