An Introduction To Mindfulness
Date & Time
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Do you find yourself getting bogged down, anxious and reactive?
Are you spending a lot of time on your telephone, TV or computer?
Then this course may be for you. Our mind can be like a monkey, but the good news is that we can train it. Neuroscientists have observed that we can change our habits and cultivate new neural pathways in the brain. Why do so many people practice Mindfulness? Because it calms us down and we start to experience more happiness!
Mindfulness is an ancient practice from the East of stopping, noticing the breath and becoming familiar with our mind and habits. It is even employed by the NHS.
We invite you to join us in the beautiful Nest in the North Wood at Dartington (near to Schumacher College) for 9 sessions over 8 evenings and one day this spring.
Storyteller/Writer Elly Crichton Stuart and Community Artist Carol Timms who completed their One Year Teacher Training at Sharpham in 2017, will lead you on a journey of discovery, walking meditation, relaxation, and above all, self-compassion.
